This epic trip to Iceland is my 60th birthday present from Val (16 October 2015). I had shown interest in this visit about 12 months ago but had not given it too much thought since then. To my surprise Val bought me an Icelandic guide book for my birthday and announced she was sending me to Iceland for the adventure of a lifetime. I have spent months preparing for this excursion, purchasing extra camera equipment, buying coats, jackets and all manner of warm clothing. Everything is now in place and ready for that very special week in the North.
