Day 8 - 22 March 2016

Arose at 7.00am and breakfasted. Caught the flybus to the airport and I am now typing up my final blog and posting my last lot of photos - 750 remain in my files but I guess I took nearer 1500! The plane was delayed by about half an hour so we had to wait in a queue to board the flight. I started chatting to 3 young ladies who had had a 4 day stay in Iceland, hired a car, shared the driving and hopped from youth hostel to youth hostel. All had experienced a wonderful break and proceeded to tell me about their visit to the penis museum in Reykjavic! Unfortunately time did not allow me to explore the city but it looks to be a great place. Many sculptures and interesting architecture. My thanks, firstly, go out to Val, who kindly paid for me to go on this truly amazing excursion. To Niall and Charlotte Benvie who put up with me for a whole week, gave me inspiration, stuffed me full of food and made my stay an experience I shall never forget. To Colin and Kurt who also had to tolerate me for 7 nights and who were great company.
